Another Level Of Z Performance

At the heart of the all-new Z is a powerful 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo charged 24-valve engine. The aluminum alloy-block lightens things up, while a water-cooled intercooler cools things off.

There’s also a new available mechanical limited-slip differential to help distribute power to the driven wheel with the best grip, all to help you power out of the corners. If you’re craving even more grab, the first launch control on any Z will help eliminate wheel spin and hop. All by holding the engine at a pre-set RPM, modulating power as you pull away to give you the fastest, most consistent acceleration every time.

You also have the choice of two different transmissions including a slick shifting 6-speed manual transmission. It has first-and-second gear synchros designed to help handle the powerful twin-turbo engine. The other option is a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission that’s sure to tempt even the most hardcore manual driver. This transmission boasts shift-by-wire technology that’s activated by a unique palm-shaped controller.

All of this is augmented by crisp steering and a road-hugging suspension. The new Z features mono tube shocks, new front geometry and rear suspension tuning. The first-ever in a Z electric power steering allows for near-infinite tuning for inspired controls and precision.

Designed With A Retro Feel

There is a retro feel to some of this new model’s design, harking back to the classic 240Z in its hood and headlights. Yet, the 400Z has also been totally reimagined for today’s more sophisticated sports car enthusiast, with an automatic transmission and the leading-edge technology you would expect in a performance car.

Inside, the 400Z has the look and feel of a classic racing machine with new stuff like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a sleek dashboard design that features its infotainment screen beneath elongated oval air vents that take their cue from the shape of the taillamps.
